“So what makes us different from the other churches in my town?” One of the usual “people in the pew questions” is “is our Church an American Denomination?” Since most of us think of our parish church as the basic unit of the church, and with so many denominational churches surrounding us in every community, it is easy to slip into that perception. In fact, the Diocese is the basic unit of the Church, and it is part of the American Province that is in the worldwide Anglican Communion.

This video is designed primarily for those who wish to pray the Daily Office, and for those who are called upon to lead the Daily Office. It is recommended that a Book of Common Prayer be used in conjunction with this video.

In this video Bishop Ackerman speaks to adult about the significance of the Sacrament. The video begins with an overview, and it continues with a tour of a church and Sacristy. The last section is filmed at the Altar where every section of the Mass is described and demonstrated. This video is particularly designed for Adult Confirmation classes, Adult Inquirers’ classes, Altar Servers’ instruction, and Sunday School classes. The video can easily be used for anything from one to six classes depending upon the amount of time which the leaders deems to be appropriate.
